Micki - Social worker. Photographer. 32.

I photograph the people around me — not because they’re “photogenic,” but simply because they’re there. Present. Alive. Touching.

Photography, for me, is a way to hold a moment without interrupting it. It’s an act of listening. Of closeness.

Sometimes, of silence.

I come from a world of therapy, of conversation, of slowly built connections. That shapes my lens — it doesn’t seek perfection, but truth. My photography is born when someone allows themselves simply to be.

To be as they are. That’s enough.

I don’t have a clear visual agenda, or a single aesthetic language.

I photograph not from style, but from feeling. From curiosity, familiarity, and a kind gaze.
